Saint Etienne have just confirmed a U.S. tour. Set to kick off Monday, November 18 at the Palace in Los Angeles, this will mark the band's first stateside tour since the release of their new album 'Finisterre'. Dot Allison will be the opening act on the tour, supporting her latest album 'We Are Science', just released in the US.

Out this week, 'Action', the first single from Saint Etienne's forthcoming album. This is what the NME had to say about it -"Now they're back. lovelier and pure-popier than ever". Only one week to go until the release of the new single 'Action' - available from 26th August on two CDs and 12". The band play at The Filmhouse (Edinburgh Film Festival) tomorrow and then at the Royal Festival Hall on 10th October with support from Broadcast.

The new single 'Action', to be released on 26th August, is the first from the 'to-be' highly acclaimed album 'Finisterre', due out in September, and already hailed by Paul Lester at Uncut as the "best album since Foxbase Alpha" and Simon Price as the "best ever". You better believe it!
ACTION is a historic souvenir of an age yet to come, with mixes from DJ Tiesto, Laub, and Mr Joshua which will have you dancing across the water. Plus there's two extra songs on CD Anderson and Seven Summers.

Having taken a couple of days off to give birth to a beautiful baby boy, Spencer, Sarah and the boys are back in the studio putting the finishing touches to their new album.
A single should be out in time for the summer with the album to follow in the Autumn. No word on live dates and festivals just yet. Stay tuned.... more news soon.

If you're in London this weekend check out Dot DJing this Sunday, 5th May, at the Elbow Rooms in Islington, London N1.
It's a bit of a Mantra DJ-fest with King Of Woolworths and St Etienne's Pete Wiggs on the decks. Entrance is free and Monday's a bank holiday. So no excuses for missing out.
