Recorded with producer Dave Fridmann, guitarist Grasshopper and drummer Jeff Ament from Mercury Rev, ‘Strung Out’ is Dot at her most upbeat. Substance out this week

'Substance' the first single to be taken from Dot Allison's new album,' We Are Science', is released this week.

‘Substance’ is an intensively refreshing slab of electro; fully complimented with Dot's trademark vocals, a pulsing synthline and a ton of techno tweakery. The recent success of his ‘Kittenz & Thee Glitz’ on City Rockers made Felix Da Housecat an obvious choice for remix duties. He doesn’t fail to deliver the goods either, deconstructing the original and morphing it in to an extended 12” mix (seven and a half minutes!) of a dirty, dancefloor stomper.
